Beware of Micro-King

Be careful with this company. I ordered a couple items from them that were listed through pricewatch and after a week had not gotten them. I called them to find out that my order had never shipped after they had sent me a letter stating that it would ship within a couple days. After spending an hour on the phone with them they finally found my order. They told me that you can't order 2 seperate promotional items at the same time so instead of telling me by email they just tossed it off to the side. Unfortunately I needed the parts right away and ended up canceling the order all together because they refused to ship them that day. It ended up costing me about 35% more to get the parts I needed from a local store. The m***of the story, don't count on the internet.

The real m***is don't take the lowest of the low-ball prices you see
on PriceWatch and expect that you're dealing with the most reliable and
honest vendors.  The first thing to do is check
www.resellerratings.com, etc., to see what the complaint level is for
that company.  EVERY company has some percentage of unhappy people --
mistakes get made, and some people just can't be pleased.  But a few
comparisons will separate the decent businesses from the scum.

My personal peeve is outfits that show up with really low prices on
PriceWatch, but show much more "ordinary" prices when you go to their
web sites.  You have to call, or otherwise hassle with them, to get the
alleged low prices.  I refuse to deal with those types.

I've always found it necessary to move up a few notches from the
cheapest prices on PriceWatch to find a vendor that is reliable, while
still offering pretty decent pricing.  Just going with the cheapest
price is guaranteed pain.

Price Watch has become nothing more than a marketing tool for many.  Shove a
couple of high profile loss-leaders up there and watch the mooches flock to
the website.  They need a service for customers such as they already have
for resellers something like "customerratings.com" that will separate the
decent customers from the mooch scum.  BTW, the day to day price on the
website must be above the loss leader posted at pricewatch, more in-line
with reality, and reality is that profit must be made from somewhere.
Anybody that tries to take the lowest of the low-ball from pricewatch is
asking for it, and absolutely deserve the treatment they get.
