Samsung and Hynix may drive 64Mbit DRAM prices back
down to US$1

The recent serious shortage of 64Mbit SDRAM for low-end
graphics cards is about to take a sharp turn in the
opposite direction. According to DRAM distributors,
Samsung Electronics and Hynix Semiconductor are poised
to flood market with 64Mbit DRAM as they empty their
inventories in preparation for replacing the product
with 128Mbit DRAM. The move could threaten  DRAM
prices.

this would counteract its own statement.  Business sence tells me that
the flooding of one product shouldnt affect the other market or, the
flooding is speculation by someone who hasn't thought it through.
Businesses surely cant be that dumb, that would be like you peeing in the
glass just before you take your drink wouldnt it?
