GPL : Anyone changed the keys to non keypad keys?

I wanted to set up my usuall racing keys in GPl

A = accele
Z = break

left = <
right = >

but GPL refuses to see me pressing any of the normal keys when its
asking for a new key selection, instead it only lets me use F keys and
keypad keys, whats with that?

Anyone?

Check the readme.  I believe it says that GPL will only recognize the
keypad keys for the driving controls.

And if you can drive GPL with the keyboard, you deserve a medal!

oh well guess ill have to find a comfortable alternative.
