I'm just figuring this place out, too.  I have a good setup for about
30 laps, then it falls off dramatically.  You can't push the car at
all or the tires wear out, so you need to get through turns 1-2 by
just barely using the breaks.  Let off the gas just past the start
finish line, then follow the groove wide to get a good angle into 1,
just let the car coast around until about the middle of the turn,
then feather the gas until you can stomp it down the back straight.
Turns 3-4 are pretty easy, but use the break gently!

Brian,
I got a pole there in the spring race, but it was at 96%, and I only
ran like a 121.928 qualifying run.  I didn't have a great race setup
either, but any help I can give you, just email me.

Yeah, I can run the track fairly well, running the car at the limit it can
handle. About 121 or so.  But I need more!  I'm no wrench monkey, and the
more I tinker with it, the more I***it up!  I have managed to get a lap
of 126 out of it, however, but just that once.

Does anybody know an ftp site that has setups?

Well Brian, I'm working on that.  Trouble is, what works for the goose
doesn't necessarily work for the gander.  I can drive a setup that is
junk for someone else, and vice-versa.  However, Jan Kohl has setup a
quikfix setup guide, it's at http://www.racesimcentral.net/~sean/nascar/nascar.html

give that a shot.  I think it's going to come down to "basic setups"
and then tweaking, depending on conditions at the track (weather, etc)
I am going to be setting up some setups, thinking of setting them up
by track, (click on the track you want to check out) then go in and
pick a setting.  Need some contributors out there to help me out, or
else ya'll be racing MY setups hehehehe, dunno if that's good or bad.

Anyone sending any, state it's qual, race, whatever, and put a comment
in there like: gets me 60 laps before the tires go away, run about 125
mph laps.  Loose first 5-10 laps, tightens after 30 laps, blah blah
blah.

I think that kind of information would be useful.  Anyone have any
comments on that?
