Its not, when you get off in the sand at a roadie, typically it takes a tow
truck to get you out. I guess Papy figured it better at least let folks get
out on their own or there would be an outcry from the masses. I have heard
of this problem since the 2002 release but haven't been in the sand yet at
WG or SP. Use the wuick sand as motivation to stay on the track.

I would guess it's not, although it is better than being able to drive
over it as if it's pavement. In real life I'm guessing you'd be
sitting there waiting for a towtruck.
Speaking of which, what's up with the "paved" sand in F1 2001? I
don't think I've ever seen a formula one car reverse over
water/sand/grass and rejoin a race...

Wouldn't that be something if sims could model the pickup after off track
excursions...wait...forget I EVER said that....
