Being the centre of excellence as far as using PC's for driving games I ask
this NG's indulgence, has anyone come across a problem with Nero CD writing
software. It just won't run on my PC (P4 2.2 Win XP).

I have a feeling it may have been a dodgy copy I had on there as a trial but
now my fully legit copy just doesn't start. Nero.exe is a running process
(not a running application) but it never comes up with the start wizard.

Not sure if it is related or not, but there was an issue with earlier
releases of Nero and XP. I believe you have to use 5.5 or later.

Make sure you don't have any remenents of older/other cd writing software on
your pc. They won't work together. I would do a complete unistall/reg
delete and reinstall from scratch. Good luck.

Nero is the only one I've never had a problem with :)

Did you have _any_ sort of CDR burning software installed prior to
installing Nero?

Nero is friendly to your system, unlike Easy CD Creator. I can't think of
why it has a problem.

Do you have any other burning software installed at all along side Nero ?
