Available Simulators?

by Rob Mer » Tue, 19 Dec 1995 04:00:00

I have a simple question wrt to autosport simulators.
At the moment I have a 486dx2 with 8 MB and a standard
graphics card. I'm only interested in Formula 1 and Indy
car racing. What kind of simulators are on the market that
will run reasonably well on my machine and if possible give
    me a price indication?

Indycar Racing 1 & 2, F1GP(World Circut in the US) for Formula 1.
F1GP2 is supposed to come out "maybe" in January.  Definately ICR 1 will
smoke on your setup.  the others play well but you may have to disable
some graphic features.  Rumour has it tht F1GP2 is a real hardware
intensive system, but we'll only know for sure when it finally gets out.

Well Rob, I have a similar system, and I really enjoy the orignial IndyCar
It's been on my hard drive for over 1 1/2 years now, if that is any
indication..  You can pick it up for under $50 and then all ya need is
something to drive with.  I use a wingman extreme, and find it very enjoyable
for a desktop and casual driving.
