A thing that still is very sad

Hello,

Because of the ongoing arguments about which new F1 sim will be the best,
although very few have actually tried them yet, I tried to seach deja-news
for similar postings about Grand Prix Legends.

Funny enough, almost everyone was pretty positive that this was going to be
something special and special it is.

What I did find, what made me a bit depressed was this post:

>Subject: Papyrus CART Racing for 99
>Date: 04/25/1998

>Papyrus is currently planning on releasing the sequel to CART Racing
>sometime in 1999.  The as-yet-unnamed product will be based on the
>physics system that will debut in Grand Prix Legends.

>As always, I'm more than happy to do my best to confirm or deny any
>rumors that arise concerning Papyrus products. (although I obviously can't
>always comment on everything) I am just an email away.

>Mike Lescault
>Producer
>Papyrus/Sierra Sports

Other postings was also reffered to rumours in PC Gamer UK of a new CART
sim for 99.

All i can say is :(

<<>Mike Lescault>>

Alot of things have changed since Mike left, he used to frequent the Sierra
board for NASCAR2 on AOL. He was pretty good about keeping us all
enlightened, and even ran some league races with us on TEN shortly after its
debut. Needless to say I dont think that the person that filled his shoes
sees the need for this. Either that or Papy no longer wants anyone to know
whats in the works. What a shame.

HIGH GEAR used to have a Seirra Cart title listed on their release date
page - but I just came back from there and nothing? Was I imagining this?
