I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of the people who post to
this list.  I am just now able to post, but have been "lurking" everyday for
sometime.  I can say that I am a much better nascar player from all the info
that is passed around.

Anyway, I have a PB 75Mhz pentium with 8 megs of ram.  I really don't know what
I did, but with windows 95, I am now playing in hi-res with all options set to
auto except track textures.  All other graphics, in auto mode are on.  The
frame rate remains around 20-22.  I have full field of 38 cars 4 shown ahead
and 1 behind.  I have the oppenents heard at 1.
Like I said, Before windows95 I was not getting this performance.  I read on
the group about making a shortcut and when I did, this is what I ended up with.

Again, thanks to all and I look forward to joining the discussion.

I myself am new to the web, but for the last month or so I have been
coming here every morning, you know, cup of coffee, donut and the web.
The information has helped in getting more out of my favorite game.

Right now I'm getting ready to build my own wheel and pedals.  I still
trying to gather more information on the subject.

I also wish that it was possible to turn damage off when it comes to my
own car.  Wouldn't that be great, it sure would make the drive home
everyday alot more enjoyable.
