I've read many of the posts regarding 1.1 slowdown.  I'm not seeing the
problem, same frame rates as before.  I timed a replay lap I saved since 1.1
and the real time is correct for the lap time GPL reported.  In the hope that
this might somehow help, here's my system:  K6 2 450, FIC503+, 64 PC 100RAM,
sound blaster live value w/o latest drivers, Voodoo III 2000, AMC game card,
homemade wheel, no FF :-(
I did a fresh GPL install, applied 1.1 patch, applied sound patch (7 car
sounds), installed KTOR 67 carset using GPLSeason ( into which I previously
saved various graphics additions like***pits, sounds, ect.).  GPL ran OK for
a few laps before I noticed graphics corruption, track surface bagan to have
green patches.  Installed Gordon Smiley's banshee fix and GPL's been running
great since.  I don't race on line (old modem and AOL) nor do I have FF so I
didn't use the new core.ini

Curious regarding your reference to Gordon Smiley. Was that a slip or is there
a race games guy with the same name as the late CART driver?

Just curious.

Sorry, I ment George Smiley.  He put together the "banshee voodoo fix" for GPL.
 Actually, I don't know why I had to apply that as I thought the 1.1 patch was
supposed to fix the graphics corruption problem with voodoo cards.
