I thought it was only WR who did matching clothing.  They must be talking
about me surely?

Strange,
if you follow the link on the site to Papyrus, it says Papy had brought us a
game called Road Rash in '96.

See : http://games.ign.com/objects/025/025250.html  It was published by EA.

Now this was NOT a Papy game, was it?

Cheers,
Arthur.

If you read it again, you will see that it was developed by papyrus but published by EA.

Papyrus owed EA a game.  They took over the excrable Road Rash, finished it,
and washed their hands of it forever.  It was a Papy game only in the
subparagraphs of an obscure legal contract.

Now SODA, OTOH, was *almost* a Papy game.  (I love it still.)

Yes it was. EA hired Papyrus top port it to the PC from the 3DO/PSX
code. It's actually a great game if you can find it. Very fun.

IIRC, Papy did, in fact, do a port of Road Rash for the PC.  Damn!
That seems like ages ago!  I even remember a Papy employee posting
about it somewhere, saying it was holding up development of the next
big thing (ICR2, maybe?)

Papyrus also did a Lord of the Rings game.  It was called Riders Rohan,
strategy game developed by the Papyrus design Group, authors : Phil Redmond
and Hank Howie.  They also did some non-*** software at the start of the
90's.

Oh yeah they did a very good for that time 3d space simulation called
"Nomad".

Road Rash and Need For Speed were a blast
on the 3DO. Way back before mainstream
wheels and pedals. :-)

Yup. Though I may be the only person on the planet who actually owns
the 3DO CH Products FlightStick Pro analog joystick. The game actually
had great analog control via this thing.
