Thanks for your response to my question. I changed the steering ratio to
17:1 and it's much better. It turns out that my way of thinking was
backwards. I thought that the setting was how much movement the front wheels
had as in Nascar Racing, Nas2, Nas 3, etc. (ie...7:1 = less....20:1 = more
sensitivity). I then checked the GPL manual and saw that infact it was the
ratio of number of degrees of steering wheel movement required to acheive
one degree of front wheel deflection. You have no idea how long I've had it
set to 7:1 thinking that this was the least sensitive setting. Funny how
handy the manuals can be !!!

I've still got the linearity set to fully non-linear as I personally find
this better...matter of taste I guess. Anyway, I've knocked 1.5 seconds off
my Monza personal best and I'm down to an awe inspiring
1:33.01....wow...(ahem).
