No comparison, I replaced my SLI'd V2s with a V3 3000 and it eats the V2s.

of course an 8 meg thriller eats sli v2's as well..
there are a lot more factors to consider however

No doubt. The only advantage the SLI has I can think of is that if in the
future you decide to go non-3dfx (GeForce, whatever), you can still maintain
legacy Glide compatibility with the SLI's.

No debate... the V3 will smoke the SLI'd V2's. But, SLI'd V2's should allow
you to skip a generation and get "the next big thing(tm)". Maybe then this
OpenGL vs Direct3D vs Glide thing will have been settled somewhat as well.

At least, that's what I'm hoping to do. Might cave in if they go down in
price a lot, though.

Hi parcher!

In what way does the V3 eat the V2s? Is it just in performance or will it beat
it when it comes to visuals as well? The reason I'm asking is because that I
will recieve an new system soon and it will be equiped with a TNT2. I have a
V2 since before so the question is if I should get another V2 or change the
TNT2 to a V3 or maybe even keep the TNT2? I am only interested in GPL
performance! I am not going to get a rendition board, period. My guess is that
the fillrates of the V2s would do just fine in GPL at 1024 if they have a fast
enough CPU to back them up. Is this right?
