Just when I thought I could take a break from the Ring with a 9 second
cushion,  you manage to beat my time by a whopping 0.40 seconds!  Let me
guess, you managed only 1 spin instead of 2 (or could be....nah it
couldn't...could it.... left foot braking!!!. <vbg>).  Maybe if we keep
this up we'll get below the 9 minute mark someday (seems to me a sub 10
minute was pretty good only a few weeks ago).  But first I'm going to
see what I can do about the gaps at Mexico, Monaco, Kyalami,
Spa........<G>

PS:And doesn't a 9:16 disqualify you from your own Ring slowpoke race?

I have an idea for you guys.

I really stink at GPL, I don't even have it installed at the moment because
life is frustrating enough without voluntarily heaping on more of it.

I'll install GPL and drive all of the tracks, including the 'Ring.  Then
I'll put my lap times up on a webserver someplace and uninstall the sim.
That way you can all have a really easy target to shoot for that won't keep
improving.

And my buddy Eldred (can we call you Tiger?) can go on in peace.

It's the least I can do.

I'm sure lots of people would be interested in your times daxe. After you try
all the tracks why don't you submit your player.ini file to GPLRank:
http://newgplrank.schuerkamp.de/  That way we can all have a look at your
times.

And believe it or not Eldred and I are not at the bottom of the list (at least
in an F1 car), we're just a little slower than average.

I hope my posts don't come across as giving Eldred a hard time.  It's meant to
be a little friendly competition and maybe some motivation for both of us. I'll
be happy if I never catch Eldred as long as we both keep improving (picture it
Eldred..... you are at -20.2 and I'm trying to find a few tenths at the Ring to
make up a 0.08 difference <g>). I'd also bet that I'm not the only one with
Eldred on my Buddy list.  But if these types of posts are bothering you Eldred,
just let me know.

Nah, it doesn't bother me much...I guess I started it by whining about my
crappy driving...<g>

Not left-foot braking yet.  I'll probably work on that in a couple of weeks.
No confidence, and all that.

Slowpoke race?  I hadn't thought of that.  Since the first one was a
mini-disaster, I hadn't decided when(or if) to do it again.  I'll have to think
about it.  Just because I ran a 9:16 ONCE doesn't mean I could do it
consistently...<g>

Same here, managed a bunch of 9:3X.XX's and then this one 9:16 pops out of nowhere
(must've had something to do with staying on the track most of the lap <G>).

Good luck with the left foot. I don't think I could get around the Ring (or most of
other the tracks) without it.

I don't think you understand..my "personal best" at the 'Ring is about 15
minutes.  The only other track I can remember the time for is Watkins Glen
where I have achieved a blistering 1:12 or so.  I REALLY suck.

I would think that being above the 100s on the GPL Handicap list would
disclude you from being in any Slowpoke Race. Now if you were down
near the bottom, like your F2 times (or my handicap!) :-)
