Newbie has TEN questions!!

by Michael G. Mitrisi » Fri, 27 Nov 1998 04:00:00

I just started racing on TEN and have a couple of questions.
    1)  If I start warping badly during a race what is considered the proper
thing to do?  Should I leave the track?
    2)  When looking at some of the User Leagues they referenced skill
ratings and LPI.   Where can I find my ratings in these areas?

Thanks in advance
Mike

If your in the probability of causing accidents, it would be proper to
leave. Even though you don't HAVE to. Plus its more fun and "safe" when you
see everyone and they can see you

LPI is Laps per Incident. Thats how mostly determine how cautious a driver
you are.  Skill level is obtained by clicking "People" on your toolbar, then
click on rankings, write you name on blank and go for it

have a nice day

If your warp continues, yes.  You should leave.  It sucks, but it's the
gentlemanly thing to do.

If you just warp out and then come back once, don't sweat it.

If _everyone_ is warping, then it's probably TEN and you might as well
hang in and fight it out with everyone else:)

If you warp and end up a lap ahead (it happens a lot) be considerate and
pit so the other cars can pass you and get back on the lead lap.

The easy way to tell if it is you, or the other cars that are warping is
to look at the split-timer (F2, then hit ENTER).  If ALL the cars in the
list dissapear during the warp, then it is YOU that is warping.  If only
the other car is dissapearing, then it is THEIR car.

You can view your rankings while logged onto TEN.  My brain is not
finding the exact menu commands right now, but someone else here should
know them...
