Anyone have any set ups for the new Eidos game?
I must admit that it has it's faults but it is really good fun - the views,
especially the helicopter and satellite views are excellent.
Also the game runs as smooth as silk on my P166mmx with a diamond monster 3dfx
card which must be a first for these graphic intensive games - no slow down -
even with 22 cars on track. I love GPL for the intense realism but Eidos
haven't done a bad job.
I know it has it's far from perfect but it is a good attempt.

heh... can you play the game in these views?

I'd say it can be expected that a 3D game that is basically 2+ years
old and contains almost zero trackside objects should run flawlessly
on the hardware its been developed for.

I know what you're saying-the game is far from perfect - especially a couple of
the tracks - Brazil is awful!! - but I still enjoy racing on it-especially with
my antiquated steam powered PC (until I upgrade) - at least it's better than
the Psygnosis effort - especially the AI - watch a race from the helicopter or
camera views and actually watch the computer drivers dice for position. I think
the game has set a new standard for playbacks and viewing.
