What's the latest on GPaL ???

The latest is that John didn't release it yet.
He had a computer crash and had to reinstall all his software again
(nothing of the GPaL code was lost)
But this was 2 weeks ago I believe.
AFAIK he hasn't made a post on RAS since then, so I think he is still
struggling with computer problems.

That mistake of me shows that Jack has to come back very soon, I'm
