Ping times at Wheretorace:

Well this week I learned alittle more about PING times on INTERNET using 28.8K
standard internet circuit. I live on Florida and I was using ATT and the PING
times to WHERETORACE where about 300 to 700ms.  This speed is totally unacceptable,
so I switched my ISP provider to SPRINT and PRESTO as you can see my ping times
dropped to 152 ms.  As far as I know that these times can only be improved by
running a 33.6K modem or waiting for the new 57.6K 2x USR modems.  This is
about the exent of the $100.00 analog technology.

While I was doing my testing I say the MAN named VOR using a full digital
circuit.  Now the ISDN service is not generally available in NASCAR Country.
We might not see ISDN or DIGITAL circuits for a long long time.  But if you
want to get your ping times down on INTERNET to around 60ms.  Thats a full
100ms faster.  You can buy purchasing a USR Robotics 128K modem with built
in Terminal Adapter.  Notice that dude is running a pair of racers over a
single ISDN circuit..  He is located in New Jersey and the WHERETORACE
server is located in Indiana.  Very Impressive.  But do you all the money
to go fast.  All its takes is:

1).     Around $300 for the Modem
        2).     Around $100 for installation
3).     Around $50 to $200 a month for the circuit..

The cost of this STOCK CAR RACING thing is going up.
