Someone clarify this PLEASE!

by Todd Benz » Sun, 06 Oct 1996 04:00:00

Hi everyone,

Now I DON'T want to cause a maylay, but I want to see if anyone else can
clarify this for me.

I received in the mail a Nascar 2 flyer, with pricing at $29.99, $20 off of
the in store price it said.

So of course I called and ordered it.

Now this is where it gets interesting, they told me that it would be at my
house between 7-10 days!

I questioned the person saying, 10 days for TODAY???  And they said YES!

I am sure I am not the only person who has received this mailing, and I hope
someone can call the number and order as well, and question them as well.  I
will of course let everyone know IF it really arrives at my house within 10
days.

This is NOT a joke, and not a load of crap, I know there have been false posts
in the past in R.A.S., but this isn't one of them.

Please post if you have any more information, I am not holding my breath
though.

Thanks Terry,

I wonder why they told me I would receive it in 10 days, even after I asked
them again to make sure.  That makes more sense, let's wait and see.

Todd

I'm afraid you've been hornswoggled.  The NASCAR 2 demo was just made
available to the public a couple weeks ago.  There's no way they could
finish the complete package in 7-10 days, much less get it to your
house.  It's scheduled to be release in November at the earliest, and
that's if no new problems spring up before then.  And $29.95 sounds
like too good a deal.  My guess is it's actually the original NASCAR
with the Track Pack included.  That's about the going rate for that
bundle lately.

BTW, exactly what company is offering this 'deal'?

I'd call back and cancel the order if I were you.

Sierra is the company offering this deal. I too received the flyer and $29.95
is the "upgrade" price for customers who registered previous race sims.
However, I was told Nascar 2 would ship at the end of November.
