Hmm....
And I thought my 1:19.76 (after 3 laps) in a Ferrari was off the pace ... :o)

Feel free to mail me if you want the replay or setup, or both....

I just ran a 1m19.55 on the 3rd lap of a session. Maybe another 1-2
tenths to come :-)

Yepps, Ferrari is fast, it's got the best power/weight ratio anyway... :o)

I even think that 1:18 should be possible.....

I agree it has a great power to weight ratio but why does it seem to lack
top speed of Eagle and Lotus, or am I setuping up car wrong at the fast
tracks?

I think this is because of the lack of torque(sp?) of the Ferrari
V12. When I tried Lotus after driving only Ferrari for about a month,
I was most surprised by Lotus's ability to give out power almost on
any revs. With Ferrari I need to keep revs much closer to
redline.

Also I think when driving second/third gear corners (speed at apex
around 150kmh/93mph) Lotus can often exit corners 5-10km/h faster than
Ferrari. This might be a setup problem though.

Top speed has nothing to do with power-to-weight ratio, given the fact that
a track allows a car to reach its top speed. *Acceleration* to top speed is
influenced by power-to-weight, but if a car has enough room to get there,
its top speed is determined by horsepower, frontal area, and the car's drag
coefficient.

Hmm... I have experienced the opposite in Kyalami, especially the Barbecue and the
next cornerseemed easier to take them with Ferrari then Lotus.
But then again, it's a matter of a setup.

Exactly, and the lotus had by far the best aerodynamics.
Only Eagle can top it out on top speed (Honda too?)
and that is only due to more HP.
