I tried to get TOCA working with IPX, but I couldnt, so I used serial.
My point is, in link up you can only race h2h, no AI players. GP2 still
rules the nest!

I know! What a mess up. Ask anyone what the best thing about touring cars is
and they'll say being in a pack of cars jostling for position. I couldn't
believe it when I entered a 2 player multiplayer and there was only 2 of us!

Also no championship mode in multiplayer and worst of all no access beyond
the first 2 tracks unless they have been accessed in single player. I bought
this game solely for the multiplayer aspect. I paid my money, I wan't my
tracks!!!!

The premium phone number to unlock weather, camera views etc. is just taking
the piss.

Why oh why do companies get the hard things right (graphics, handling etc)
then***it up with stupid things at the end.

Not easy at all, not if you're talking about Internet multiplay - more
like impossible. Too much data to transfer.

My original post was about linking up via IPX, not thru the internet,
but having said this, Im not sure it would be impossible thru th
einternet. Quake can do it. Ive played that with a whole croud, so why
not TOCA?

The cars are moving too fast relative to each other. If this data
isn't transfered fast enough you get all sorts of wierd problems -
cars appearing inside of other cars, etc. Look at how long it took
Papy to iron out the bugs from N2 multiplay with many racers. And that
still has to be played with the aid of a dedicated *** service to
work right.
