With Tony Stewart pulling a D.C. Austrian move on Labonte, why didn't
he just let his "tars go off" and let Labonte by? Was the point chase
over? Labonte is too nice a guy...

Amen!  NBC and FOX completely SUCK!  ESPN, TNN, and TBS had the best race
announcers and coverage.  NBC and Fox need to stick to covering baseball,
basketball, and football.

  I think you will find Tony Stewart does not consider himself to be a
number 2 driver anymore.  I fully expect to see more instances like the
two of them comming together for posisiton.  Remember, Tony wrecked his
buddy Matt Kenseth not once, not twice, but three times, and then got
mad when Matt finnaly hit back.  Tony is a very intense racer.  Should
be great fun in the comming years.

        1.  Tony would have moved over to keep Labonte in the hunt, if
Jarett didn't have it sewn up.

        2.  Unlike the overpaid pansies in F1 the Cup guys believe in
racing.  Also unlike F1, their owners do too.  Gibbs was upfront about
letting his guys race.

        3.  Labonte showed incredible class in the postrace interview.
Since Stewart is a newbie, Labonte could have done him some serious
damage.  Tony owes him one.
