Got a copy of Driver for Xmas: 2 questions (or problems)

1) Game won't recognise the pedals on my LWFF wheel (either in combined or
split axis modes) Is there a patch or some incantation I should recite?

2) Can't get different views (e.g. in car) when in the game, but can do when
practicing in the garage!
