Just got GPL from Sold Out, and I can't seem to find any control set
files:  Am I trying to "re-invent the wheel"?

What do you mean by control set files?
YOu calibrate your controller in-game if thats what you mean.

Yeah...  A rather uncomfortable process.  I'm not sure I've got the
steering correct or the shifter right.  (TM2)

GP2/3 have control sets for various wheels, so teaching the thing
which your wheel set is, is obviated.

Really? I've always wondered why everyone didn't do the same as Papyrus with
GPl etc. and controller setup. GP2/3 seems awful in comparison.

Plus you can have a number of controllers and GPL just copes with them and
use whichever axis you wish.

The main thing to get right is the linearity. About 1/5th in from the left
feels about right for most.

I'd recommend the '65 mod as they will be a bit more controllable and have
an improved tyre model over the original. Then drive a real Ferrari F1 and
practise some throttle control - not these modern computerised aero packages
they call cars these days :)

Cheers
Tony

That's GPL btw (lower case L by error!)
