New System Advice

I was in a software store the other day looking at various car racing
games.  Not *one* game that I liked would run on my existing system.
That was the last straw, and the old 486 is out.  Having saved enough
money, and *** that CPU and RAM prices may have bottomed out for a
while, I decided it's time for a Pentium system.

For various reasons, I'm going to get a system from Micron.  I'm trying
to stay between $2,200 and $2,700.  The advice I need from you folks
who have GP2, Need for Speed, etc. etc. is on the CPU & graphics card.
To make the system affordable, I have the following options:

1) 200 Mhz Pentium Pro + Diamond Virge 3D with 4 MB EDO DRAM
2) 200 Mhz Pentium + Diamond Stealth 64 with 2 MB VRAM
3) 166 Mhz Pentium + Number Nine Imagine 128 II with 4 MB VRAM

I realize that Number Nine is the best of the bunch, but I'd hate
to skimp on the CPU power.  Is option number 2 the best compromise?
Thanks for any help.

Man o  Man!
How damn hard is it to go out and pick up a few aluminum cans to make
up the difference.....sheeeeeeeesh!!!!!!!!!!!  It is surprising you
would consider a machine in the 200 mhz  range with such a fixed income
attitude.  You have to go out and make things happen!  Don't be happy
with the cards dealt to you.  Go out there and take control of your life
and get what you want!
