Tell me if i'm wrong and you probably will, but would it not make more
sense to have a news group for each simulator. Not that anything is
wrong with GP or ICR i have never tried them but nascar is what i'm
interested in only to have to read through 100's of others to get what i
want.

Has anyone made a patch so if you are a lap down (which I usually am) on
a caution lap you get to start on the inside at the front of the pack.
Just wondering this is my first racing simulator?

Well, spose not.....if you call driving multi-coloured tractors weighing
a ton with 700hp V8,s designed 30 years ago round an oval, motor racing!

Now F1, here we are talking sophistication, high tech, state of the art
machinery, driven by the creme de elite of drivers.

I hope I don't get flamed for this, you know it makes sense!

Hey, I'll have you know that NASCAR Winston Cup cars weigh 3400 lbs,
so when you denigrate them, you should probably say "weighing almost
two tons!"  :-)

I'd give Damon Hill about 2 secs. in a Winston Cup car; but put Dale
Earnhardt in a Black Sauber and he may not win, but he'll look pretty
scary as he puts Mr. Irvine into the wall.  :)

But heck, I like 'em all- F1, Indy, NASCAR, Trucks, Bikes and yes, even
School Buses.

God Bless,
Steve

Yeah, you ALSO take all the fun out of the sport by lapping the field
multiple times in a 70 lap race.  In NASCAR you generally see passes
for the lead more than once a race...and believe it or not, it is
actually done ON THE TRACK!!!  Dont get me wrong, I like F1 (GO
SHUMACHER!!!) but it gets boring about 20 laps in.  Sure, NASCAR may
race primarily on ovals, but at least you see the whole dang race, not
just 300 feet of each lap.

Makes sense?? MAKES SENSE????  How is F1 better than Nascar!?  Well, if you
call driving a *Little* *wimpy* "car" around a so called "track" better
than driving a *Real* Nascar car with *Power* that would blast the doors
off a Renault anyday...then sir, you have problems.  I never saw a F1 take
shots like Nascar cars and last like they do, And I doubt i ever will!

I've tried GP2 and I can't get near the quality (frame rate, graphics,
etc..)of play that I do with the Papyrus sims. Now you may have GP2 running
on you 400mhz PentiumIII but most of us here don't have a computer like
that yet, sorry GP2 is sloooowwww! Besides I enjoy rubbin' paint with my
2ton, 700hp tractor!
