> would be a best buy?

Mark,

I still have my TSW (about 2 years or so).  Let alone steering wheels for simulators, I have not
bought a product that matches this unit for performance, long term quality and service.  In
addition to the lifetime warranty, my e-mails to this company have been answered without
exception within 24 hrs (usually within 12), and I have received parts and upgrades within 3-4
days of my check clearing.  Their staff is excellent, and have educated me in many aspects of sim
racing.  Their site is at  http://soli.inav.net/~thomas/.
At approx. $300, this wheel/pedal set is well worth it in the long run.
Good luck with your search and happy racing!

                -Keith

I've been using the Thrustmaster T2 for a year now, and it's great.

Got the same thing, then tried the V3 steering wheel and Nascar Pro.
Nothing compares to the Grand Prix 1, starting with price and control
accessibility.  Might just be for short term, but I drive carefully.

Right Henry?

I'm not sure how to take that???
I tap everybody when given the chance and expect the same.
It's amazing how much those AI cars try to get out of your way;
sometimes you have to anticipate their move to give them a good slap.
For the money, I can't see spending $200-300 for something that works well
for $50. Now if I can just overcome the N1 handling bug.
What's the point of getting the pole when your car doesn't handle well the
first 5-10 laps? Now that I got my web browser working again (I swear MS
put a bug in explorer that screws up your netscape) I'll be shopping for
setups and de***s. And searching for an online multiplayer without long
distance phone charges.
Nuf for now.
Aloha, Henry

Decide for yourself, after comparing all the reviews and user experiences on
my site:

http://home.worldonline.nl/~flucas/index.html

Go to the wheels section.

% One thing i don't understand...How can you shift gears with Thrustmaster
% GP1 ?

There are buttons on the front of the wheel's "spokes".  These can be
selected for shifting gears.
