I just read this on http://www.racesimcentral.net/:

Wichtig: Installieren sie den Disvo-Fix von Papyrus NICHT. Wenn sie
nicht wissen wovon ich spreche - umso besser. Wenn sie sich fragen,
warum sie ihn nicht installieren sollen: Er funktioniert nicht bis hin
zu: er macht alles nur schlimmer.

Wait, I'll put a babblefish in my ear now. Here goes:

Important: DON'T install the Disvo-fix (I guess he means the discofix,
just a wild guess though) from Papyrus. If you don't know what I'm
talking about - the better it is. If you wonder why you shouldn't
install it: It doesn't work, it makes everything just worse.

A more precise explanation would have been nice, but apparently he's
not very happy with the discopatch.
For me the patch works fine, allthough I didn't have any disconnection
problems at all after I switched from cable to an analogue modem for
onlince racing. How does it work for you guys?

As league administrator it sure looks to be doing the job.  It's not a
1000% never get disco'ed kinda fix, but we have more folks staying
connected than ever before.  I host from the West Coast of the USA and
we have drivers from all over the world running.  We are even running
50% Grand Prix length races, so there is plenty of time for folks to get
disco'ed.  We are keeping quite a few more drivers with the fix than we
did before the fix (when we ran shorter races).

There seems to be a bit more warping going on, but then that is
probably from the guys that were going to get disco'ed before.

Ditto... not perfect, but does the business.
