Regardless if the 3dFX patch was given a go or not, you still have Sierra to deal with not Papyrus in releasing this patch. Don't you think? : ) Let's look at reality here. Have we forgotten who is on top of Papy????
I would love to see a 3dFX patch for N2. But Mr. Wallace does have some points to consider.
And like he said, "it ain't official." (And John, I though "ain't wasn't a word in the UK =)) Hehe..
Let's put this bluntly, if the 3dFX is doing the patch FINE, but it doesn't mean it's going to be released unless the "Big Dog", Sierra, wants it too!!
There have been NO announcements from Papyrus or Sierra on a 3dFX patch.
For example, the I76 "Glide" patch vs I76 "D3D" patch. Hmm..
