Unless that graphics card has either a Rendition chip or a Voodoo/3dfx
chip, you are stuck with using the software mode.  And I don't think
ATI Rage Pro (if I remember correctly) uses either one of those chips.

Thanks, I lived with software mode and poor framerates on my old P100 so I
guess I'll live with software mode and excellent framerates on my current PII
400 untill I can save the money for a 3dfx card.
