Sim Racing News : GP2 - More Info!!

by John Wallac » Wed, 17 Jul 1996 04:00:00

Hi gang!

Okay, so GP2 is out in Germany - it's not out elsewhere in Europe, and
we're feeling a bit left out and sorry for ourselves right?

Well, I got some of the top German racers (nice guys that they are) to
tell us their first impressions of GP2 and lots of info and opinions. It
was originally planned to be an article in next month's mag (and will be
developed further into one), but for now if you want loads to read about
GP2, check the "Latest News" section of the July issue.

That should while away a few hours while we wait eh?! :)

Cheers!
John

It's out here in Finland too. (Yesterday 16.7). I bought it on my
lunch hour, but haven't played it yet.

Here comes something out of the manuals (which are nice to look at,
        atleast!)

        System Requirements:

IBM PC 486 (66MHz minimum) DX4 (recommended), SVGA requires Pentium

        8MB RAM (16MB with win95)

MS-DOS 5.0 or higher (runs also with win95)

15 Mb Free HD Space (maximum installation 58 Mb)

        Supported:
        **********

        MODEM PLAY !
        Serial Limk Play !
        Wheels & Pedals

        Other stuff:

        transmission/suspension/throttle/electrical failures
race strategy planning !!!! (pit stop strategy)
pitching, rolling and spins are more realistic than before.
        Car Setup options:
        Packers (spacers ?)
        Damper fast bump
        Damper fast rebound
        Damber slow bump
        Damper slow rebound
        Springs
        Ride Height
        Anti-roll bars
        Wings, gears, brake balance

Thanks for your web-magazine. Have to check it!

Can't wait till I get back to home from work 8-)

Where's the problem? You need 16MB to run GP2 in a DOS Session with
Win95, and 8MB when rebooting to 'clean' DOS.
