this is a bit OT:

   http://www.racesimcentral.net/

which is (more or less) an experiment to see how fast people can read.
the gas (loud) pedal controls how fast the words in the story appear.
steering takes different courses through the story.  no brakes!

 approaching
 parabolica
   150mph
   surtees
    0.1 s
   behind
    bang
     you
     are
     in
     the
    hedge.

just like gpl!  and all done with no video card overclocking agp
aperture worries!

Interesting stuff. I was hunting around the site to see if the
RSVP software they were talking about was available on
the site but couldn't find it, just information.

I actually tried this once (similar just using book with templates
etc)  when I was in hospital for a week. It really works and works
well. I'd always wondered if someone had developed something
similar for reading text from a computer screen, seems to me it
would be pretty easy to do.
