About the North American release of MGP

by Ubi Soft Tech Suppor » Sat, 03 Oct 1998 04:00:00

For people who are wondering about the delay in the release of the North
American version of MGP, this is an official statement:

In order to ensure that there are no misunderstandings about Ubi Soft I
would like to clarify several points and apologize for any problems we
may have inadvertently caused you.

At Ubi Soft North America we have no problems with our customers buying
game copies outside North America.  We know that for some gamers it is
important to get the earliest possible edition and while the US office
only sells the North American edition you are free to seek out and
purchase the edition that best meets your individual needs.

The decision to release the Monaco Grand Prix Racing Simulation 2 in
North America in February 1999 was a difficult one but we felt it was
more important to thoroughly test the game and release a version that
will maximize the enjoyment of gamers and require the minimum number of
patches.  We are also waiting to release the product in time to include
the Ubi Soft Entertainment FREE game service.  In order to use the game
service with the European version a patch will be required.

Again please let me apologize for any inconvenience we have caused.

Thank you.

About the North American release of MGP

Now that we have this 'blessing' from Ubi Soft, I'd like to know if there
are any UK or European web sites that are willing to help us less fortunate
US F!RS fans out by selling and shipping us the English version of MGP.

It seems to me that there are some $$ to be made by some company out there
that can ship internationally!
