anyone ever run INDY?

anyone ever run INDY?

I've got a nifty driving game called INDY (which, from what I've read here so
far about ICR is more simplistic than ICR). Has anyone played it before?

I found it great in that you could adjust the tire pressures, cambers, diameter
offset, shock stiffness, gear ratios, downward force on the car (spoiler/dam
adjustments) etc. It gives readings of inner, middle, outer, tire temperatures,
to help you set up the suspension.

I can't recall who made the game, but I recommend it for those who want to learn
about the effect of suspension setups.

For those who know what game I'm talking about, how does it compare with ICR?

It was made by the same folks who recently made ICR, although it was
published by Electronic Arts.

I can't compare it with ICR, since I'm using an Amiga, but I500 is the
best (on the Amiga) driving simulation, hands down.  Just wish ICR would
get ported for Amiga, with all the fancy schmancy -- and slow -- graphics
on the IBM version removed, put back into the more simple, but very workable,
graphics that I500 had.  Keep that excellent mouse control, too!

Fastest lap at Indy: 37.00 seconds; 243.24 mph

I have Indycar Racing, and also Indianapolis 500. I don't know if that's the
same as Indy, but it sounds like your Indy game compares favorably to Indycar
Racing, as far as adjustments go. Indy 500, on the other hand, was on the
budget shelf, and its NOT in the same league, although it has pretty good
sound effects, and id a lot of fun to play. Just putting in my $.02 worth.

Hello,
I own myself ICR and INDY-500... I just want to comment that
ICR, for me, is just a update version of INDY-500; Better graphics,
Better animations, Better replay, Better, Better, Better....
ICR juste use the power of our 386/486 (as good as a AMIGA, flame flame :-)
I have as much fun playing ICR than I had playing INDY-500.

BTW: I do not agree with a last post of Randy, The manual of ICR is more
than just useful for getting the game running. I have all my praise for
Papyrus putting time making a good manual answering question of a real
simulator fan. History, Technical term, description of the race track...

ALSO: As far as I tried it Network Q Rally is not a game comparable to
ICR. I'm very disapointed, but my full comment will came later... I need
more time to try it... (no much time for playing these days... :-( )

        see you all later...
