STOLEN MOTOR CYCLE ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by Srinath Seshad » Sat, 01 Jul 1995 04:00:00

$250 reward for info leading to recovery.

A 93 600 katana motor cycle Stolen from my apartment in Concorde CA.
Most probably stolen on june 29 between 9.00 AM and 6.30 PM -- Daytime.

    Features of this bike.

    1. Absolutely uniquely  painted - white, yellow, black
in a flag like pattern, kinda like the Vance and Hines racing
    but different colors.
    2. It was missing the front wheel disks, calipers. I had them
removed as I had a flat and the disk bolts were stripped.
    3. The rear wheel is blue - stock color, The plates stick
out from under the tail light. The rear fender was cut away.
    4. Other unique feature is a 750 GSXR Yosh 4into 1 header pipe
was fitted on to it and a Yosh cannister for GSXR 750 with
a turn down tip fitted together with a hand made pipe.
Yes this bike has had *** sweat and tears
poured into it by me and my friend Gregory ( ex-racer Thinking
of re-entering racing at the age of 46 -- Look out for him
in Laguna seca in the novice class and also in portland etc....
on some linear combination of GSXR's ).
    5. It had Washington plates number 542623 and had 107** miles on it.
The plates expire in september of 95.
    6. Black tinted wind sheild ( lockhart may be )
    7. Turn signals replaced with small mouse types.
    8. Left mirror cracked.
    9. Right passenger foot peg is in the drivers foot and the pass-
uses a funny foot peg welded from an EX500 foot peg.
    10. Almost bald continental 2000 tire in the back.
    11. The rear end looks like it has been lifted up kinda like
    a dirt bike.

It is very possible that the bike is not going to be on the road.
But any way if some one tries to buy a front wheel, front disks,
calipers, axle bolt, spacers, castle nut etc please give me a
call or ask to see the bike if possible.
If you see any parts try and call the cops with the case number
    95-16355 or call me at (510) 922 0585.

    Thanks a lot guys

Sorry - haven't seen your bike (Saw mine though).  But please refrain from
using the news groups as your personal bulletin board!  As obsurd as it may
seem, many of us don't live ANYWHERE near you and don't care about your
motocycle. . . .Just a piece of harsh reality huh?

I'll keep an eye out for it.

Do you think the guy who stole it will be riding it around Perth, Western
Australia any time soon?  If not, I'll probably be wasting my time.

Count me in too! The moment it runs by my office here in Linkoping, Sweden, I
will broadcast a message to all available news groups and tell him it is here.

But I guess it may take some time. His apartment in California (isn't that CA?)
is like 20.000 miles from here... Anyone checking on the North Pole?

North Pole ! Not a bad guess, I saw a machine answering the
description here in Lerwick, Shetland Islands this very morning and
if this guy comes over the ocean and it checks out as his I'll split
the $250 with the rest of you.

WHOA!  Just saw that motorcycle flashing by me at 205 MPH on the
Talledega track.  Tried to slipstream in behind it, but no luck...

This isn't the north pole either, but I've seen a couple of bikes that
might fit the description here in Vancouver, Canada.

Hey Pal,  I live in Redwood City, Ca. about 20 miles away from you and if
I see the guy who stole you bike I'll make sure I look the other way
being that I know how F***ing annoying the owner of the bike is!!!  Why
don't you open your own newsgroup and then you can write all the notes
you want....to yourself.

If I see your motorbike racing me on a Nascar sim track, I'll call the
local coppers for you. Or maybe I should call the V.R. Troopers.

I haven't seen any here. What surprises me about all this is (1) He
kept his bike in his apartment (well maybe not so strange), but (2)
someone went into his apartment and took his motorcycle!
