nascar2 in standard mode the hard drive makes noise but I dont see
anything. If I type in on a blank screen again to go to rendition mode of
nascar2 hard drive makes noise and I can play.It has to be something with
my drivers maybe I deleted something?Things in win95 work fine.Dos games
I cant see but I can hear.I cant play because I cant see.I must have

When you say you re-installed your rendition card, does this mean you
re-installed the card or its drivers?

I would suggest you go to Display Properties and setup your display
adapter as the generic SVGA.  Re-boot and then install the latest
drivers for your card from "disk".  In other words, do not use any of
the files "installed", but choose "Have Disk".

Can you do a straight  Start|Shutdown|Restart the computer in MS-DOS mode?
If you do that do you see the DOS prompt or do you have a blank screen
anytime you try and use DOS mode?
Also, try to cold boot the machine, hit "F8" when it says "Starting
Windows95", choose "command prompt only" and see if you can play from there.

I had the same problem, drove me nuts! Everybody I contacted said
"never heard of it". I went to tech guys, Creative Labs(it's a 3d
Blaster) the monitor people etc. everybody i could think of!
In the end it was determined that the 3d blaster (or possibly some
rendition based cards) is incompatable with certain multi-sync
monitors. The monitor manufacturer even replaced the monitor thinking
that it was defective but the problem persisted. In the end the choice
came down to replace the video card or the monitor, I chose to replace
the monitor, the store were I bought the system gave me a bit of a
break but it still cost me $100!

Good Luck

Edward
