DTR Discussion Forums?

A friend is having lockup/crash problems with DTR on a *very* capable system
and I volunteered to help try to find some experts...can anyone direct me to a
current forum?

OR...could someone take the time to review the following and offer help?
(Either post here or e-mail me...the Reply To is not munged.)

TIA, Tom

AMD Athlon 600 MHz Processor
BCM QS754 Motherboard (ATX)
256 MB PC133 RAM
Visiontek GeForce2 GTS Video (64 Mb SGRAM DDR AGP)
Soundblaster Live! Platinum Sound Card
Realtek RTL8139 PCI Fast Ethernet NIC (Cable Modem)
LG 8X4X32 CDRW
Alps Floppy Drive
Inlite Case w/ 250W power supply
Windows ME 4.90.3000
Normally also have a Creative 52X CD-ROM, but it's not installed at the
moment.

Have loaded all critical updates for ME, as well as IE 5.5.  DirectX 8 is
loaded, but had the same problem when ver 7 was loaded.  Have also
downloaded and installed most recent ME drivers for all devices except Live!
and the motherboard, neither of which is available apparently (although the
motherboard originally came with an AGP patch, which is installed.)  I've
e-mailed Creative Tech Support inquiring about ME drivers for the Live!
Platinum, but have received no response at all.

Problem:  The game (DTR) just shuts down without warning. The most I've been
able to run is one or two 10 lap races.  Doesn't matter if I have it set for
10 or 1 AI competitors,  or if I try to race online.
The game suddenly shuts all the way down and returns me to my desktop.  No
error messages whatsoever.  I have installed the DTR patches 102D and 103.
