F1RS: Extreme Newbie question

Okay, please don't flame me for this question because I am *brand new*
to this genre and just trying to learn some stuff.

Here's my problem.  I just got F1 Racing Simulation, which I'm playing
with the MS Force Feedback joystick, and am at a loss with what to do
when I spin out on a track like at Monaco, and end up sideways against
the rail.  Can't back up, can't get myself turned around---end up
having to restart the frickin' race every time.  Surely there has to
be a better way.

Anyone have some basic control tips for a newbie, so I can actually
finish a race???

Thanks in advance.

Well--I can answer my own question here.
I didn't have the gear up/down keys assigned---which was preventing
from getting in reverse. Doh!

Now, can someone tell me what the best couple tracks for newbies are?

JH,
I don't know about newbies, but my two own favorites are Spa in
Belguim, a big brawler of a race track, considered by many to be the finest
racetrack in the world. The other of course is Monaco, tough to learn but
very rewarding. It is my single most favorite and hoot to race. Other great
courses, and easier to learn, are Hungary and Canada. All the best, Mike

Try Hockenheim (Germany), and Monza (Italy).

Monza is probably one of the easiest?

Make sure you configure your control device properly? From memory I
think you have to brake and change down a gear at the same time to get
in reverse.

F1GP2 was great for this, you could do some awesome spin turns using
the spin gear.....

Thanks---yeah Monza definitely has been a great start. Really liking
this game a lot. I've only played arcade racers like NFS before--but
this one has a nice ramp-up for newbies like me.  Very cool game.
