When in training and I quit out just after completing a lap, how can I
easily tell what the laptime was, since the program hasn't yet shown a
pit board?

If you hit F2 and go to the replay, as your car crosses the
start/finish line, the lap time will show in the black area on the
top.

I do this a lot when I'm testing a setup--I don't want to wait another
trip around sometimes... :)

You can check your lap times by clicking on the event info buttons until
your lap times are displayed - once you have entered the pits by either
driving in or pressing ESC then enter.

It is shown in the replay window and in the event info different
pages.
