Wondering why only some of the cars I download from web sites are available for
mulitplayer? Many of the ones that do not show up in multiplayer selections
are even fictional cars.

Too bad N4 has so many generic cars in offline racing. All of those purple &
yellow or orange and white cars make multiplayer look more like saturady nite
late model racing rather than NASCAR.

By the way I have even seen cars I have downloaded being driven by other
(NON-COMPUTER) players online yet the same car does not show up as available
for me to select.

Anyone with a clue to this phenomenon???

OK wise guy! My fault....that's the same answer I give if soeone asks me if I
know the time...I look at my watch and say "yup". Now if it's not too much
trouble...would you please share your knowledge with myself and other readers?

You have to select show all cars in the opponent manager. then you can pick
one or not. Maximum of 43. Make yer choice for online/offline or both!

OK Dave, first of all I know you are wize in all matters simulated...<g>

actually you have been a great help many times.

The phenomenononon to which I refer is thus:

I download cars from various web sites....but for some reason only a few of
them show up in the list of cars available for me to drive on line. I realize
that the "licensed" cars aka real cars are not available for players to select
in mulitplayer...although I assume there is a way.

To further complicate and befuddleize the matter it appears that other players
ARE able to drive these cars online. how do they do it when I can't....and
it's no all downloaded cars just some...there has to be a way to do it.

No I don't think you understand. I know that the "real" cars can be used
online driven by the AI....but not by the player.

ok, yes there is but I don't know the paticulars...Make sure you have not
checked the
box on the drivers list that says "show only active drivers" (paraphrased)
I beleive getting
the Winston Cup cars to work i.e. Gordon's Dupont 24 has to do with renaming
them, but I don't have the details...I'll see what I can dig up...in the
meantime...I'm sure there are a folk or two here that can help...we ARE
talking N4 correct?

Be sure the :"only display active drivers" box is UN-CHECKED on the
opponents manager screen (top left).... or else it will not show you all
the cars..

Well PHYDEAUX99 most of the posts hhave said it all!! You can also
pick a real-live Nascar car for yourself & have it show up online!! I do!
If you have further questions PHYDEAUX99 re:me directly through my
