MGPRS2; Brazil without hills!?

by Arto Wik » Sun, 11 Apr 1999 04:00:00

Hi gang,

today I was watching the qualifying of Interlagos. Seems to be really
nice a track! But then the Monaco GP Racing Simulator 2 seemed to have
an  unbelievable flat interpretation of the track! No hint to the
difficult turns in the middle part of the track! In reality there really
seems to be up-hills and down-hills. And some of the turns do really seem
to have the horrible negative "backing"... (I do not know the right word,
but for ex. if it turns to the right, the road is leaning to the left...)

MGPRS2 seems not to simulate anything of this? Then I tried the old GP2,
and there was much more of the realism and feeling in it...
Does somebody really like the Brazilian track of MGPRS2?

Arto

PS I really would like to have also the "modern" tracks in GPL...
Even without the wings of cars ....

The hills are represented pretty well in MGPRS2 I think!
By the way, the word is 'camber'.

That is a problem with mgprs2 and F1rs all the tracks have hardly any
elevations.
Hungaroring,Suzuka and interlargos are all way to flat,it was one thing(of
many)that turned me away from Ubi's sim to the fantastic GPL.
Gp2 was more realistic with the tracks,Gp3 will be the best modern sim(if it
ever comes?)

Actually I think the elevations are there. They just are not as pronounced
as some would like.

I LIKE RS2, but I like sometimes drive GP2 too.
Well , I think Imola in GP2 is really flat, if you try after RS2.
Somebody want "hate" Ubi and RS2 so much, why not "JOHNNY HERBRETS GP"...:-)
or PROST GP or whatever.
I must say, at GP2 timesync is out of this world, car goes slower than real.
But Great game still...and only f1game if you dont have Voodoo2. (TNT is not
right for RS2)
Hey everybody...make speed, not war..:-)
maybe meet someone in Game Server, NOLAG internetgame at last (8players).

You must be joking..GP2 had all the hills in the right place, what the hell is
that ski jump in RS2at Imola just before the bridge ,that is totally wrong.
And what about Brazil,Hungary and Japan..where are all the hills there in
RS2??????

True they are both bad sim too...

That is ture if you let cpu go above 100%  need to reduce the fps or need faster
cpu.
although i only play GPL now as this is the best sim.....proper elevations on
the tracks as well.

Why TNT is not right ? RS2 works fine with my STB velocity 4400 at 1024 * 768
