As you can see in PS2.IGN's review, it took the reviewer more than 100
hours of gameplay to complete the game.  He logged more than 12,000
miles.  Talk about depth!

Also, I unlocked the Seattle Circuit this morning.  The detail in the
backgrounds is incredible.  I was driving the Calsonic Skyline and the
number of Polygon being pushed is amazing!  There's no way in hell my
K6-III 400 with the Rage Fury could do that.

I've logged at least 300+ hours in GPL in the past 1 and 1/2 years I've had
it and I only have a -30 GPLRank.

Thanks,
Alex

I don't think that really proves anything, sadly your KIII-400 / Rage Fury
is out of date now.  A top of the range PC would manage 5X times the
performance of your PC.  From 3DMark2000->

K6-III 550 + Rage Fury MAXX     = 1900 3DMark2000   (faster CPU than you
have)
P3-1000 + GF2 GTS                      = 8900 3DMark2000

I must have logged a few hundred hours since I bought GT1 and GT2,
especially GT2, just trying to win all of the special cars and win enough
money to buy all of the cars I wanted. Talk about gameplay depth, getting
most of the 500 cars in GT2 was a labor of love, I used up alot of memory
cards. This is the greatest racing series of games ever, IMHO.What are they
going to do for GT4  I wonder, aside from hopefully fixing the A.I.
deficiencies. Between playing GT3 and SCGT this whole weekend, I have barely
left my room. Both of these games have huge depth , with all of the cars and
tracks and options.

Well here are a couple of suggestions for this Greatest sim.  A***pit.
multiplayer.  League reporting tools.  AA.  track editor.  Car painter.
DAMAGE MODELING.(why bother proper braking/apexing when you can just barrel
into a corner and use an AI car as a bumper to make your turn?)  More
complete physics.
When they get those ironed out...we can start considering it for 'Simhood'

Hey,

Well, he didn't say it was the greatest sim, but never the less...i think
it's a damn good game. Doesn't have the rigors of sim racing, but it sure is
a blast to drive. I just wish they'd get this game on the PC...i really
don't feel like plunking down the money for a PS2 just for this game.
