The Indianapolis 500 game nostalgia thread on this newsgroup inspired me
to try the game with my new Thrustmaster GP1. It didn't work although
it does work with my joystick. Too bad. Anyone have any ideas? I did
try ctrl + J but that didn't help. My best lap ever was 242.06 (Lola
Buick, no wing, cutting below white line, banzai run). Can't get close
to 247!
My best ever was, yes, 247 point something. It was aggrivating because the
Buick had an "analog" speedo...no digits, just a little dial that ended at 240
or something, which I was way past down the straight. So my trick was to
pause, and then switch to the Penske-Chevrolet, with a nice digital dash. My
best speed ever down the straight was 252. Didn't lose much around the
corners...By the way, absolutely no wing, full positive stagger. If you're
running right, you should be clipping the grass with your left front tire...
