Hi Byron,
both of the soundcards have analoge gameports. The PDPI is giving some
relieve to the CPU because it dont need to poll the gameport but I
doubt that this will cause any sinificant increase of fps. The PDPI
improves controller precision. You see it when calibrating the
controller. There is no flicker at all from the indicators in the
calibration menue. Most important, the driving feeling in GPL is smother
and you have better control. I dont know about the performance of the
Live gameport, I did not try or compare it with the PDPI port.
