"Mandrake, have you ever seen a commie drink a glass of water?"
My bet is that 95+% of these boards are "untouched by human hands" and are
simple dealer returns - dead inventory that was just languishing on their
shelves next to the V3s. Dealers are unwilling to drop the price and blow
them out the door in order to avoid the wrath/complications of customers who
just paid two or three times the price. So these perfectly fresh boards, get
returned to the manufacturer and are suddenly "refurbished".
Look for "refurbished" Banshees next.

OR of course if one has a single 12meg CL V2 and has a slot open for a
second, its a good deal also...
>> Can't imagine that many would want to pay any more
>>than $50 for a V2 when V3s are at or near the $100 mark.
>Jack, some people have a TNT or other card and would like

I agree with revved. Unless you want to have a 3D-only card, freeing you to
choose any desired 2D/3D card (like TNT2), I'd get the V3 2000 for <$100 over
the two cheap V2's.

Oh yeah... they keep improving the damned hardware just to spite
us! <g>
