It's probably not a spammer, it's most likely a virus using the address
book of the infected PC as the "sender" of the mail in question,
probably the Klez virus

Infected PC has your addy in the address book, the virus resends itself
to all addys in the list with you as the sender, you get the blame if
the recipient doesn't know better, it's also sending itself to you,
actively, faking it as a "returned" mail, prolly with some small
attachment hoping you're going to lower your guard since it "originally
came from you", it can also grab e-mails from web pages from the cache
of your web browser

That's the Reader's Digest version, make sure you have updated your AV
software

OT: What can I do?

Same thing happened to me recently.

I managed to trace the originating ISP and sent off an abuse report, also I
contacted my ISP and told them.

They suggested forwarding one of the emails to them so they could trace the
source and act accordingly.

Hope this helps

Andy
