I just bought Apache Longbow from EA yesterday and inside it has a
"comming soon" leaflet. Right at the back, without any screen shots
(obviously still pretty early in development) was a game called "Mclaren
at Le Mans" - you get to drive a McLaren F1 at the 24 hours.

Anybody know anything else about it? Might be good - but I'm not sure I
wnat to sit in front of my computer for 24 hours :)

I=B4ve also read about this in PC GAMER June, and they
said it could be out in June...

All I know is that it's been in development for well over a year
now, owing to the fact that a year ago was when I talked to EAC boss Don
Mattrick about it. Predictably, I made the same stupid remark about
sitting for 24 hours straight :-).
Sure would've loved to be able to drive the Porsche GT1 though!

And why not after all ?
That would be quite funny to see some boys on the news on TV, the
presentator saying : "Another defeat of the human in front of the
computers : now they stay 24 hours playing a game !"

After the 14th victory of Porsche at Le Mans they should re-programm it and
call it 'Porsche at Le Mans' ;-)

At least it should have a 'save game' feature, *unlike* ICR 1<g>

Well the pit stops at Le Mans are slightly longer than for F1 -
perhaps long enough to have your own "pit stop" or wake up your co-
driver!

Perhaps with Noel Edmonds joining the fray next year, they should call
it Mr Blobby at Le Mans.

(This will mean nothing to the US/European readers.....
Noel Edmonds is a really annoying ex-DJ who has a telly program which
is complete rubbish. He has a "side-kick" on said program called Mr
Blobby which is this bloke in a pink ***y costume who keeps
bouncing around going "Blobby blobby blobby". Suffice to say that I
hate it. Anyway, he's a Ford GT40 and motor racing nut, who with his
huge amount of money made from previously mentioned program is
entering Le Mans next year with a major team and probably a McLaren
F1GTR. Watch out next year, Porsche... Mr Blobby is about...

If they were to include Noel Edmonds as a driver in the simulation, the
temptation (for me at least) would be far too great and every lap I would have
to smash into the pit wall at 200mph killing several spectators/mechanics. And
of course present them all with a gotcha.
