RARS is still going on. There are race events every other Sunday,
alternating between "Stock" cars and "Unlimiteds". There are also a number
of web sites for RARS, a good starting point is Safai Ma's page at:

There's also a mailing list that is pretty active. You can subscribe by

We are getting ready to start working on RARS-2. One of the planned
features is a way for non-programmers to compete in the Stock car
competitions. If you have any interest, feel free to join the discussion on
