MGPR2 - where is my car sound?

In MGPRS2, I can hear the other cars and announcer, but my own
car has no sound.  I've applied the newest patch.  Any ideas?

Are they gone?

>Do you known that MGPRS2 turns down your system sound about to half
>everytime you start it up? You have to minimize the game (alt+tab) at
>the options menu and turn it back up using your windows sound applet.
>Maybe you need to do that and turn down the sounds on *other* cars and
>boost your own.

Tried it, still didn't help.   Sounds horrible, plus the graphics are
dated, and the 'motion' (cant think of better word right now) seems
bad.  I'm getting rid of it.

Oh well, I can't comlain considering it only cost me $9.99 CAD. It was
good for it's time. There are 3rd party add-on sounds and you can also
get real cars for the 2000 season and better***pits. Physics could
be better, but overall it's not bad and the AI is good.
