get some more ram first, then get a good video card. I think that n2
will be rendition ready, meaning it will support the new rendition video
card that sierra is puttin out. I don't know how much of a difference
this will make over say a stb 128 that is not rendition ready
maybe someone who knows a little more will help us both out there. I
think I saw the stb 128 for 150 bucks at best buy. STB also has a new
card out also but I didn't really look at it.

Hope this helps,

mick in Tampa

Hi, I can't wait for Nascar 2 to come out, but I have a question. I have
Nascar Racing and I can't play it in SVGA mode cause I only have a 1MB
video card. And even when I play it in VGA mode, I can't have all the
Graphics on. I have a Hewlett Packard Pavilion With a Intel 150MHz
Pentium, 16MB RAM, 6X CD-ROM, Accelerated 64-bit PCI local bus video
aand like I said, a 1MB Video RAM card. Now I know that Nascar 2 will
need a 2MB video card to play in SVGA mode and full graphics. So my
question to everyone here is...What do I need?? What is the best video
card out there for these types of games? I have about $500 to play with.
So can anyone tell me what is the best one out on the market? And if I
need anything else, (cause I'm not sure and computer smart) Please tell
me. Any info, help would be great. PLEASE!
THANKS!!!

I have a P133 with only 1 mg video and 24 mg edo and it runs great in svga
with only grass and concrete textures off. The only thing I would suggest is
get a good wheel and pedal set if you don't have one. You can get a T2 for
around $99-$129 or a TSW (is that right?) for much more (Don't remember the
price, just remember it was out of my range).

Just set the frame rates higher, should smooth things up.
